Beach Accessibility - Turtle Creek to the Space Coast - Things to do on a day trip - Dog friendly beach

Turtle Creek is just a 45 minute drive to Melbourne on the Atlantic Ocean.

Jump on 192 and head East to the coast. There are various parking lots directly on the Atlantic Ocean, some charge but many have free beach parking. Our advice head north or south to find free parking.

North of the Hilton Hotel in Melbourne there is a dog beach which is good to know for those with dogs. There are lots of dog lovers here bathing with their four legged friends.

There are plenty of stores on the main drag on the way to and from the beach. Break the journey back from the beach and stop out the Big Box stores like Target or furniture stores. There are numerous stores including Rooms to Go, Pier One imports and Haggerty's to name just three.

Need to shop at Target before you head back to St. Cloud you can do that too.

There are also plenty of restaurants so eating out is easy too.
