UPDATE - New Marketing Concept for 50's at Turtle Creek - Improves value and makes Purchasing Easier

The Developer at Turtle Creek D R Horton has introduced a new marketing concept making life easier for future buyers at Turtle Creek.

D R Horton is now offering a streamlined process which should expedite the build time and make it easier for buyers to get in to their new home quicker. 50 foot home sites only. Buyers of the Estate home series will still be going to the Design Center.

The builder has researched most of the options buyers selected and packaged these in to Color packages.  This is not quite like buying a car, but in many ways similar. You select the model and the color package and then a few months later you have your home. The builder is anticipating speeding up the delivery process as the homes are pre-permitted.

Getting the best sized rear yard on a budget New Construction Buyers

Recently I was working with buyers on a budget and they wanted to find a four bedroom house
in a price range where all the houses are below 2000 square foot. We looked at a few homes and they then realized that the room size was more important than the actual number of bedrooms. By spending time looking at properties they realized that more rooms in the same space means smaller rooms.

Lot sizes for new construction homes also tend to be smaller than in the past. If you are fitting a 2400 ft home with a two car garage on a 125 x 50 foot lot ,with all the set backs and rules regarding the distance between the homes on the sides you are going to find that the yard space is limited.

In this scenario we had a family with a dog looking for yard space. We were able to switch the house design from a single level to a two level home and presto the size of the rear yard  almost doubled to 50 feet rather than 25. Leaving the family with space for their dog to play and plenty of space for a pool down the road.

When you are looking for a home take some time to talk with your agent regarding  what is important for you and your family. Even in these zero lot line days there are ways to find more livable space for your families.
